No Longer a Lush-Virgin and Update!
I’ve been slightly missing from the blog world even though one of my new years resolution was to blog more! So I thought I’d ease myself back into it with a short blog post. I have been super busy with deadlines (and I write this post while I’m still attempting to meet one!) but fingers crossed I will have a few more posts up from next week. ANDD I have finished my Estee Lauder skin care trial and started a Chanel trial so I will need to let you know all about that! But moving on…
LUSH
Now this is a brand, that oh so many rave about. And although I love my scented bath times and body care, I just do not know why I’ve never tried Lush before. I guess it was one of those things that you tell yourself, oh I shall do it one day soon. However I popped into a Lush store at my home town and realised it was half price on all the Christmas gift sets and I think that was all it took for me to finally take the plunge! That and the fact that it was the last day of the sale.
Because it was an impulsive buy, I didn’t know what I was looking for or what others recommend so I was kind of lost however a lovely lady showed me bits and bobs and I ended up settling for two gift sets and a bubble bar. Now this isn’t a review, just a little haul to ease me into blogging. My birthday is on the 19th of January so I thought it would be the perfect time to treat and pamper myself so I will probably start using the products from the 17th because I’m funny like that.
I didn’t want to spend so much so I spent around £20 and as it was 1/2 price it ended up being just under £10.
The first set I got was the Cosy Christmas (for about £4) which contained:
The soap smelt lovely, and I’m not usually a big fan of hand creams as such, but it is in solid form and melts really nicely. The Lush lady massaged it into my hands and immediately I was like ohh I can almost use this as a massage bar for my back, so I will try it out and probably go back later to buy a proper massage bar from Lush.
The next set I got for also the same price, is probably going to be my favourite of the two. This is the Good Karma gift set which contains:
- 100 grams of Happy Hippy shower gel (£3.15 full price)
- 80 grams of Karma soap (in a smiley face shape and £3.95 for a 100 grams)
I also loved the smell of these, and was given a sample of the Karma Kreme to try out too which I loved, I loved how strong smelling it was (don’t ask what it smelt of as I have no idea) and the smell stayed on me for some time so again that is something I probably will return to buy. But I am looking forward to try this set out!
And lastly I picked this up for under £2 because I really wanted something to create a nice bubble bath out of, and I was told this will last me 3-4 baths. Its called Superstar and smelt pretty good so I thought I’d grab it and hopefully it will smell just as nice in the tub. I made sure that she gave me the biggest piece there was too, understandably. Who wouldn’t?
So that is all for my little haul, I have been picking quite a few things up, although not much in the sales but more about that next week sometime or sooner!
